Our day to day lives place significant pressures on us and we are often trying to keep too many balls in the air. Juggling work, families, children and other essential commitments can be really difficult and can result in anxiety. When this anxiety reaches a certain level we begin to feel stressed and stress can have a huge impact on our health and well-being.

 

When our stress levels reach a point where we can no longer cope, it can have a physical impact on our body and we may experience panic attacks or physical illness such as migraines or irritable bowel syndrome.

 

Our bodies natural way to reduce stress levels is through good quality restorative sleep. However often our stress and anxiety will frequently affect our sleep pattern; or it may be that our stress levels are just too high and the amount of sleep we get just isn’t enough to help.

 

Hypnosis replicates the REM sleep pattern which is essential for managing our day to day anxiety and stress. This state of focused attention also allows access to the unconscious mind where thought patterns and behaviours can be modified to enable us to feel lower stress levels by reacting differently in stressful situations.
