AMY GRAND

Clinical Hypnotherapist HPD, DSfH, BSc
(Hons Psych)

My name is Amy Grand, and I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. I am based at Bridge Therapies on Gonvena Hill in Wadebridge which I own and manage. I work from my private, comfortable room within the practice where we also offer podiatry, counselling, reflexology, reiki and massage. Please get in touch for further details. If travel is a problem, hypnotherapy sessions can be conducted online, over the phone or in person in your own home.

Following the completion of my Psychology degree, followed by a master’s in social work in 2004, I have worked with young people and adults to support change in their lives. As a social worker, I worked with many client groups including those with mental health problems and learning disabilities. As a result, I have a wide range of experience and knowledge that I now bring to my practice.

I was awarded the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma (HPD) and a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSfH) in 2016 from the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training School which is considered the gold standard of training schools.  Since completion I have completed further training in neuroscience, neurolinguistic programming, advanced solution focused therapy and achieved a Level 3 Certificate in Person-Centred Counselling.

I have had some great successes, working with people across the board, helping with depression, anxiety, negative or intrusive thinking through to phobias and helping people to stop smoking. Hypnotherapy helps with many different issues (see hypnotherapies page) and it is likely that it can help you. If you are not sure whether it is suitable for you, please get in touch for an informal chat.

The Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma is accredited by the NCFE and qualification results in registration with Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (ASfH) and the The National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) which are all regulated by the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

To maintain my professional registrations, I have regular supervision with a qualified hypnotherapist supervisor and I regularly attend continued professional development to enable me to keep my practice up to date and relevant. I also have an enhanced DBS which allows me to work with children.
